SOUND, SAFE AND SENSIBLE!
If exercise were easy, we would all be happy with our bodies. We would all be as physically fit as we want to be.
Being healthy takes hard work, sweat, consistency, dedication, and often set backs. Taking the guess work out of your workouts can help! Having someone guide you, motivate you, cheer for you, keep you safe and make the best use of your time can make it that much easier to get to where you'd like to be.
We know exercise, when done properly, can be great for your body and your mind! It can improve your health on many levels, it can make you more confident and it is wonderful for stress management. A well designed exercise plan can be the cornerstone of a happier you!
If your top workout priority is to look like a pro-athlete or a super model, you may be missing the point. A good fitness plan does not happen in one personal training session or just because you regularly go to the gym.
There is nothing wrong with striving to look better, but the best exercise benefits are those that change your health and well-being.
These are the changes to the inside of your body, ones that may not be as easy to see. The changes that can improve your quality of life much more than well defined quadriceps or bulging biceps can.
In designing a plan for you, I always start with your personal goals, interests, and medical considerations.
Using exercises I feel to be safe and effective for you, I will gradually increase your levels and skills, progressing your exercises at a pace that is right for you.
While assessing your performance, I may add to your goals based on imbalances and/or areas of weakness I see you need work on.
I base all my program decisions on proper bio-mechanics and exercise science.
If I can't tell you exactly why you are doing an exercise than I am not qualified to include that exercise in your program.
I pride myself on working within my scope of practice and I adhere to the ACE professional code of ethics at all time.
